Created during the 1970s acoustic-ska boom, the Milwalkee Ragtime Orchestra thrived in a bustling Wisconsin music scene. A revolving door of talented musicians participated in the group, including the legendary Prince, Cher, and even an appearance from former President Jimmy Carter.

The mainstay members of the group never picked up the traction of those previously mentioned, but continued to explore their musical passions for both ska and alternative indie.The MRO would not last forever, however, as rival ska band Fuzz grew jealous of their influence on the scene.

Fuzz’s fury led them down a dark path, and they would concoct a plan to set fire to the Orchestra’s shared home during the early morning hours of April 3rd, 2022.

Luckily, the loyal roadies, Xavier, Jimmy, and Max were shopping for Seafood Snackers at Weis Markets. Returning home to their smoldering bandmates, where only a shimmering fez remained, the boys knew the torch had been passed. Reforming as F.E.Z., which stands for fez, the trio hit the road and never looked back. Suddenly and unexpectedly marooned in State College, PA, Fez has been slowly rebuilding their enterprise one house show at a time. Join the movement.
